In 2002, Chef 'O' began his journey as an apprentice in Thai cuisine in America. He left Thailand with the dream of someday opening his own Thai restaurant. Through hard work and dedication, he honed his culinary skills, rose to the position of head chef, and created his own recipes within three years. Tragically, he was diagnosed with a terminal illness without warning and passed away before realizing his dream. His children, inspired by his vision and legacy, went on to open Thai Kitchen by Saowanee in his honor.
As renowned chef David Thompson aptly said, “Thai cooking is about the juggling of disparate elements to create a harmonious finish. Like a complex musical chord, it’s got to have a smooth surface, but what’s happening underneath is just as significant.” At Thai Kitchen by Saowane, we embrace this philosophy, understanding that simplicity is not the essence of Thai food.
We are committed to delivering freshly prepared meals made with real, high-quality ingredients—never from frozen factory-made packages. Our dedicated team hand-rolls every type of roll in our restaurant, ensuring that each dish is crafted with care. Our soups are made from scratch, using fresh meats and vegetables, with many ingredients thoughtfully imported from Thailand. Signature dishes like Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Garlic & Pepper, and Pad Kra Prow are cooked to order, featuring exclusive sauces developed by our Chef O.
We take immense pride in our cooking process. Our chefs passionately prepare authentic Thai dishes that allow our customers to experience the true flavors of Thailand. Our vision is simple: when you get the opportunity to visit Thailand and sample local cuisine, we want you to say, “This tastes just like what I had at Thai Kitchen by Saowanee.”
In 2017, seven Thai dishes were celebrated in CNN Travel's list of the "World's 50 Best Foods," showcasing Thailand's prominence in global cuisine. Featuring dishes like Tom Yam Goong Soup (4th), Pad Thai (5th), Som Tam (6th), and more, Thailand boasts a rich culinary heritage that we are proud to share with you.
